County transit is transit within the county. All routes will match the directions, and be noted here. In additional, there would be funicular inclines where they will make sense, and provide for easier transit. Also, every county will have 4 busways which will provide Bus Rapid Transit throughout the county. Shorter range community buses will connect to these busways – and therefore provide fast access to the county’s capital city. In addition, there would be other primary bus routes that would serve the city streets, but they will not be nearly as fast. The route designations are as follows:
- Single Digit: Funicular
- Double Digit: Community Route Only
- Letter + Single Digit: Busway Routes
- Letter + Double Digit: Primary Routes
- Single Digit + Letter: Secondary Route serving Busways
- Double Digit + Letter: Secondary Routes
The letters are as follows: E for eastern routes, N for northern routes, S for southern routes, and W for western routes. Primary routes are buses that would serve the county capital, and secondary routes do not. All busways will connect with the county capital, and serve for that city.
Key communities will receive a number, and that number will be defined as the community. For example if an eastern Frankstown is given a designation of 15, then the E15 will connect to Frankstown. The 15N will also connect to Frankstown. And the 15 will serve Frankstown only. Therefore, everyone in the county has the chance to recognize that all routes with 15 in it will serve Frankstown. This makes finding where to go much easier. If there was an N15, then that route will serve Frankstown, but will enter the capital city through a northern entry point.
Numeric Designations
As mentioned all counties will have the same numbering scheme. This is intended to make it easier to figure out where one needs to go. The numbers are as follows:
- 1-9: Funiculars
- Eastern: 10-29, 91, and 92
- Northern: 30-49, 93, and 94
- Southern: 50-69, 95, and 96
- Western: 70-89, 97, and 98
With this in mind, one could easily see that Frankstown from the example above is an eastern community since it is given the numeric designation of 15. Also, one will easily learn that the E1 will serve the East Busway. There will be dedicated bus lanes that would run through the county’s capital. These bus lanes will connect the buses together, and allow for easy bus connections to the busways. Also, prominent locations will also have bus lanes. For example, Kaldan University will likely have a bus lane that would connect Kal-U to the city’s center, and allow for easier connections. Bus Lanes will be marked as red on the street, and only buses, and public service vehicles are allowed on the bus lane.
