Airports

There is 1 international airport, and 4 regional airports. In addition, every county has a heliport. A heliport doesn’t have runways, therefore not suitable for airplanes, but instead helicopters, and tilt-rotor aircraft may land here. This will allow a person to travel to the regional airport, and use a helicopter to get to a particular county. If the route is common, then heliport-heliport travel will be established to bypass the regional airport. The reason every county must have their own heliport is this is the home base for air ambulances, and police helicopters. With such important vehicles in each county, it just makes sense to apply a heliport in every county. Kaldus Air will also operate the Airbus H225 for inter county transit.

There will be regional airports. These airports will only be able to serve short haul aircraft such as the Airbus A220 which is the aircraft that Kaldus Air will use. Aircraft from other airlines will not be using the regional airports. The regional airports are intended to interconnect with the international airport therefore allowing someone to get to the other side of the nation within a day if timed correctly. The regional airports are intended to work inside the nation, and provide for short haul flights. Regional airports will also serve as heliports.

The international airport is the only airport that will take in foreign airlines. These airlines will provide service flights to and from other countries that may need to connect with Kaldus. The international airport will be able to serve large aircraft such as the Airbus A380, and Boeing 747. Kaldus Air will operate Airbus A350-1000 aircraft for international travel. The international airport will also serve as a regional airport, and heliports. This means that Kaldus Air will use helicopters to connect with the neighboring counties.

All airports will have restricted areas. For a regular person to gain access to these areas, they must be escorted by someone from the National Guard which operates the national police force. An exception to this will be the black zone which is under the control of the Royal Guard, and intended to support the royal family.
